Unusual and rare, antique late Victorian period, fire opal and diamond trilogy ring, circa 1900 or later.

Handcrafted of solid 18ct gold as a unique, fascinating design composed of side coiled snakes with carved skin, interspaced by leaf work, seemingly holding the trio of mesmerizing gemstones in an artfully made multi-prong work, evoking symbolism and mystery on a terrific visual impact.

Centrally set with a large, bright and opalescent natural fire opal of 3.80ct – 12.3 x 9.8 mm – gorgeous fire and vivacious orange colour

Flanked by two old mine-cut diamonds for .60ct TCW – G VVS/VS – completing the trilogy version in the more out of ordinary design.

Snakes are a classic of the Victorian expression set with such a lovely collectable gemstone come even more unique and a desirable statement ring.

Very fine condition keeping with age and use.

Head is 12 x 21 mm. (h. x w.) can be resized.
