Edwardian Antique Rose Gold Trombone Link Albert Watch Chain Necklace

A heavy and long 9ct rose gold antique Albert chain with alternating trombone & round uniform links.

Every link is stamped ‘9C’ and the T-bar is marked ‘9.375’ along with makers make ‘WL’ for William Lewis of Birmingham dating the chain to the early 20th century circa 1910.

The chain has one spring loaded, swivel ‘dog’ clasp and one round spring loaded jump ring both of which are in full working order.

  • Condition: Very good, wear commensurate with age. The links are in excellent condition with very little signs of wear which is very rare for antique 9ct gold chains

 

Traditionally worn as a watch chain suspending a pocket watch, Albert chains can also be worn as necklaces and used to suspend charms and pendants.
