Vintage Coral, Diamond and Pearl Rare Signed Cornetto Pendant

An extraordinary Italian artfully made cornetto pendant made in a fantastic creative vision by Andrea Ghelli, master of fairy tale jewellery, every piece is unique, no other in the world.

This large, beautified horn is made of rare one-piece large-sized natural salmon colour totally untreated coral –caged in an incredible 18ct gold wired latticework of marine inspiration, further embellished with a rare 18 mm. x 15 mm. large baroque shaped South Sea pearl of lustrous white silvery sheen and diamond nestled into gold to the centre for more details – diamond .40ct.

Large bail that snaps easily suitable even if worn with pearls, 18ct marked and signed Andrea Ghelli – measures 84 x 31 mm. without bail (h. x w.) – bail is 16 x 5 mm. (h. x w.) with a gross weight of 42 grams.

Coral horn (cornetto) is an amulet that traditionally brings good luck. In the past, traditionally it was given to children for protection. In many paintings of the 1500s, we can see children wearing coral horns or coral branches – one of the most famous is Jesus wearing coral by Piero Della Francesca.

Tradition aside this example is certainly unique.
