A beautiful vintage Art Deco ruby and diamond bar brooch, circa 1930s. Crafted from 18ct yellow gold and platinum and set with one old European cut diamond, twelve single brilliant-cut diamonds and eighteen rubies.

Condition: very good condition

Period: ca. 1930

Material: 18ct yellow gold and platinum (touchstone tested)

Diamond(s): One old European cut diamond with an estimated weight of 0.07ct.
Twelve single brilliant-cut diamonds (also called 8/8)with an estimated weight of 0.36ct.

Total diamond weight: approx. 0.43ct. with an average colour and clarity: F/H, vs/si.

Natural rubies and lab produced rubies were both used in this era, rather more for their effect than for their intrinsic value. with an estimated weight of 0.50ct.
