An Art Deco chloromelanite jade, gold and diamond vanity case and lipstick holder by Marchak, with a rectangular chloromelanite jade case, with curved cut corners; with rose-cut diamonds set in the hinges and clasp, with a French dog mark; inside is a mirror to one side, surrounded by a yellow gold border, opposite is a yellow gold powder compartment, with French eagle marks for 18ct gold, signed J. Marchak, Paris, numbered 1122; the vanity case is suspended from two platinum chains, with French dog marks for platinum, each chain is set with two chloromelanite jade beads; joining a chloromelanite jade lipstick holder with a diamond set ring through the middle and diamond set ‘X’ on each end, circa 1920.
