A striking cocktail dress ring set with a large oval cabochon lapis lazuli mounted in a bold 18ct yellow gold thread setting, accented with four platinum mounted diamond flames on each side reaching up from the back of the shank to support the lapis dome

This is a true show stopper of a cocktail ring.

Numbered 148560, with no further marks, this ring was probably made by an important jewellery house such as Sterlé, or VCA, around 1965, but we cannot find any further marks or reference on it.

• Diamonds: 60 brilliant and single-cut diamonds, with a total estimated weight of 2.00 carats.
• Lapis lazuli: fine grained vivid lapis lazuli with minimal pyrite (gold coloured) flecks. Measures 21.8mm x 15.7mm and is 8.5mm high.
• UK finger size N, US size 7, weight: 22.47 grams.
