This amazing rare antique Victorian Abalone natural pearl and diamond scorpion brooch has been hand modelled circa 1870 of solid 18ct rose gold with silver portions.
It prizes magnificent Victorian workmanship, realistically modelled like a scorpion.
It is embellished with a precious natural Abalone pearl making the body of the Scorpion, stunning quality for the natural abalone

Pearl totally untreated, fully multicolour iridescence and has perfect skin.

Head of the Scorpion is made by another – natural untreated saltwater pearl- slightly baroque, measures reported below. Further enhanced by diamonds of rose-cut for approx 1.50ct, extremely white and true quality.

Excellent example, exceeding in quality the average of this type.
