Antique Victorian 8.55ct Old Cut Diamond Crescent Moon Brooch

An late 19th century diamond crescent brooch set with old-cut diamonds. A central row of graduating old-cut diamonds in cut down settings, with three rose-cut diamonds at each end, are flanked either side by another row of old-cut diamonds. Mounted in silver-upon-gold with gold pierced gallery on the outside curve. Secured with a later pin and roller catch fitting. Circa 1890.
