Antique Belle Epoque Diamond and Pearl Portrait Brooch

This charming antique Belle Epoque diamond and pearl portrait brooch features nine old brilliant cut diamonds, 30 rose cut diamonds and nine lustrous real orient seed pearls. Mounted in 18ct yellow gold and platinum.

Condition: very good condition

Period: ca. 1910

Material: 18ct yellow gold and platinum, although most of this jewel is in yellow gold, the diamond is set in platinum. This finds it origin in a much older period (see explanation on silver on gold). (touchstone tested)

Diamond(s): Nine old brilliant-cut diamonds with an estimated weight of 0.29ct. (colour and clarity: F/J, vs/i).
30 rose-cut diamonds and senailles. A senaille is a simplified rose cut diamond, a small diamond chip with perhaps a few polished facets. We do not have the weight of the rose cuts diamonds nor the senailles which is normal in our trade when it comes to rose cut diamonds and senailles.

– All diamond weights, colour grades and clarity are approximate since stones are not removed from their mounts to preserve the integrity of the setting.

– All diamonds have been screened by the IJGC – lab (www.ijgc-worldwide.com ) for whether they are natural or synthetic, and all diamonds in this jewel are 100% guaranteed to be natural.
