Antique Art Nouveau Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring circa 1925

Antique Art Nouveau Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring circa 1925

A striking original Art Nouveau diamond ring, reminiscent of a nebula. In typical “whiplash” form this period diamond ring has an Old European cut centre stone of estimated 0.57ct with a total diamond weight of 0.97ct. This ring would have been made circa 1920/1930s. A beautiful and unusual design, this fluid design is probably continental in origin. The craftsmanship of the ring is delightful, the designer has cleverly crafted the ring to accommodate the flex in the finger by curving the head of the ring. This allows the piece to sit snuggly on the finger without causing irritation (see images for the ring profile).
