Vintage Peridot, Amethyst and Diamond Set Necklace, 18ct Yellow Gold.

The Suffragettes, women campaigning in the early 20th century for the vote & equal rights, chose 3 colours for their movement, green white & violet.

Green is symbolic for hope, white is purity & purple/violet loyalty dignity.

The colours were also used for their slogan “Give (green) Women (white) Votes (violet)”.

  • The stones are all about 3mm diameter, the gold curb link chain is 40cm long and about 2.5mm wide.
  • Hallmarks for 750 (18 carat) gold, maker WLG, London 1998.
  • Gross weight: 11.1 grams
  • Good vintage condition.
