A delightful pair of vintage retro clip earrings from the fifties. Modelled as birds, the earrings are set with ten single brilliant-cut diamonds and nine rubies, all mounted in 18ct yellow gold.

Condition: very good condition

Period: ca. 1950

Material: 18ct yellow gold (touchstone tested)

Diamond(s): Ten single brilliant-cut diamonds (also called 8/8)with an estimated weight of 0.10ct. (colour and clarity: E/G, vs).

Natural rubies and lab produced rubies were both used in this era, rather more for their effect than for their intrinsic value. with an estimated weight of 0.15ct.
