A beautiful vintage Mikimoto mother of pearl dog brooch set in 18 carat yellow gold. The brooch depicts a standing golden retriever which is set with a decorative mother of pearl coat. The dogs fur has been hand carved in gold to give the brooch naturalistic features. You’ll see that the maker has really enhanced the features of the breed such as the bushy tail and long shiny coat. Lastly, the Labrador is holding a pearl band in its mouth. Due to the size and design this brooch would be a perfect addition to a jumper and/or coat. A perfect gift for any dog lover! The brooch is secured to reverse with a hinged pin and barrel clasp fitting.
