Vintage Italian Cherub on a Chariot 18ct Gold Brooch

This lovely vintage Italian cherub on a chariot 18ct gold brooch is a little piece of art made by past Italian masters. The brooch shows a standing winged cherub or putto in a chariot being pulled by goats, perhaps hunting for love?

The whole piece is so very finely detailed in a realistic way it seems as if it's painted onto gold. The chariot wheel turns as if real and all details are crisp and real. The cherubs back is also finely detailed and exquisitely accented by turquoise colour enamels, as are the two goats - with textured fur to add life and realism as fine as can be. Crafted from heavy 18ct yellow gold, circa 1930.

Lovely unique collectable vintage example to wear and treasure forever.
