1930’s gold bar brooch with a bejewelled fly. The body of the fly is composed of a pearl and sapphire connected by a silver ring. The wings are silver encrusted with eight rose cut diamonds and for the eyes, two rubies were used.

Country of origin: Although it does not carry any legible control marks we believe this to be of Belgian origin.

Material: 18k yellow gold brooch (the gold on the fly is red gold) and silver.
Diamonds: Eight rose cut diamonds. We do not have the weight of the diamonds which is normal in our trade when it comes to rose cuts.
Precious stones: One sapphire and two rubies for the eyes.
Birthstones: Diamond is the birthstone (or month stone) for April, sapphire for September and ruby for July.
Hallmarks: No trace.
