Vintage French Blue Enamel and Gold Cross Locket Pendant

An 18ct yellow gold locket pendant designed as a reliquary for the True Cross. The locket is designed with a blue baisse-taille enamel Flory Cross (Cross Fleury) to the front, and engraved with the monogram LM / ML to the reverse. Opening the locket reveals a compartment containing a pair of fragments of the 'True Cross' mounted on a white and gold Flory Cross on a woven red ground. The text 'Vraie Croix' surrounding.

Hallmarks: Stamped with the owl mark for 18ct gold and French import
Dimensions: 2.5 x 1.9 x 0.7 cm (not including jump ring)
