Vintage French 12ct Blue Topaz and Diamond Cluster Ring

A stunning, mid 20th century, blue topaz and diamond cluster dress ring. The central vibrant, intense sky blue topaz is nestled within a crown setting and surrounded by a halo of sparkling round brilliant-cut diamonds. Mounted in platinum upon 18ct white gold, with decorative raise under-basket/under-gallery. Circa 1950.

Blue Topaz: approx. 12.00 carats, measuring 15.10 x 11.90mm, a tiny natural crystal inclusion showing on one side, common to the untreated natural gemstones
Diamonds (18): approx. 1.50 carat total, G colour with VVS clarity
Metals: Platinum (whole head/crown) and 18ct gold (shank/band)
Hallmarks: French for platinum and gold
Ring size: G 3/4 (UK) / 3.75 (US)
