Vintage Double Row Akoya Pearl Necklace with Diamond Flower Clasp

A stunning vintage two-row cultured Japanese Akoya pearl necklace of 'opera' length, on a 14ct white gold clasp set with Swiss cut and brilliant cut diamonds. Secured with a tongue clasp with safety figure of 8 clasp.

Circa late 1950's / early 1960's.

The uniform size of the pearls enables the necklace to be worn with the clasp at the side or back of the neck.

  • Shortest row 72cms (28 inches) including clasp.
  • Pearls: 7.00-7.5mm Japanese Akoya cultured - pink/cream overtones, good lustre with few insignificant blemishes
  • Diamonds: approx. 1.10 carat total, G/H colour and VS clarity
  • Hallmark: Netherlands gold hallmark
  • Newly restrung knotted on silk
