Vintage Diamond 18ct Gold Feather Brooch

A beautifully detailed vintage diamond set feather brooch set in 18ct yellow gold. The brooch depicts a fallen loose feather and is composed of a number of individual yellow gold prongs. On top of the feather are 6 large claw set diamonds of varying cut and size. There are a total of 5 old mine cut diamonds and one modern round brilliant cut diamond, suggesting one has been replaced after it was originally crafted. Along the center are four little eight cut diamonds which are grain set into the stem of the feather. The brooch is secured with a curved pin on the reverse to fit the profile of the brooch with a tubular safety catch.
