Vintage Blue Zircon, Diamond and Platinum Flower Brooch
A beautifully made brooch in the form of a flower with a blue zircon heart surrounded by curving platinum leaf shapes with engraved veins and diamond set curved tendrils.
The centre of this brooch is set with seven zircons with a fine sky blue colour. These are highlighted by the diamond set fronds around it which contain 31 round brilliant cut diamonds. The smoothness of the platinum leaves between these tendrils offsets the scintillation of the stones to perfection.
Although unmarked, the quality of the manufacture of this piece, along with its similarity of form to other designs and jewels by Flato, causes us to attribute this jewel to his hand.
