This magnificent vintage forties sapphire and diamond cluster ring features a beautiful deep dark blue sapphire, surrounded by 12 old brilliant cut diamonds.

Condition: very good condition

Period: ca. 1940

Material: Two tones of precious metal, the main part being 18ct yellow gold and the white parts are either white gold or platinum.

Diamond(s): 12 old brilliant-cut diamonds with an estimated weight of 1.17ct. (colour and clarity: H/K, vs/si).

- All diamond weights, colour grades and clarity are approximate since stones are not removed from their mounts to preserve the integrity of the setting.

Precious stones: One sapphire with an estimated weight of 2.30ct.
Colour: deep dark blue, probably Australian
Treatment: most probably heat treated. Colour enhancement by heat treatment of ruby and sapphire is an accepted technique as long as it is mentioned by the seller.
