A superb pair of large star-burst design 18ct gold precious opal and diamond earrings of impressive proportions handcrafted circa 1960.

The pear-shaped opals showing beautiful hues of electric blue, neon green, red and yellow. With an estimated opal weight of 5ct per earring with a total of 10cts. The opals are surrounded by over approx. 2cts of baguette-cut diamonds of excellent colour and clarity. The gold work is retro-inspired with geometric forms, the elongated, rounded hoops radiating from the central teardrop opal are interspersed with the baguette diamonds which are set on white gold to further accentuate their brilliance.

• HALLMARKS - None, but tested throughout as 18ct gold using a touchstone.
• CONDITION - In very good condition showing little sign of wear. Opals have a good colour with hues of electric blue, neon green, red and yellow. All the gold work remains crisp. A well-made pair of designer vintage earrings.
