Vintage 1.8ct Diamond and Sapphire Star Brooch Pendant

A mid 20th century brilliant-cut diamond star ‘sunburst’ brooch-come-pendant, set with 1.80 carats of diamonds with 0.60 carats of sapphire accents. Designed around a central diamond set seven pointed star which is surmounted to a larger sixteen pointed body, with each point alternating between a diamond set and a sapphire tipped point. Set in silver and backed with 18ct yellow gold. Circa 1960's.

• Diamonds: approx. 1.80 carat total, I/K colour and VS/SI clarity
• Sapphires: approx. 0.60 carat total
• Hallmark: Unmarked, tested throughout as 18ct gold and silver using a touchstone
• Dimensions: 36mm diameter
• Condition: This vintage brooch is in super condition; it has very limited signs of wear commensurate with age and use. All the settings are crisp with sound claws to the diamond settings. The brooch pin opens and closes securely with hook and clasp.
