A highly refined Victorian en tremblant floral brooch, crafted with a silver-topped front and gold-backed construction, set throughout with antique-cut diamonds. Dating to the mid–late 19th century, this brooch exemplifies the elegance and technical sophistication of Victorian jewellery, with articulated elements designed to gently tremble with movement, enhancing sparkle and realism.

The brooch is modelled as a naturalistic flowering stem, with a diamond-set flower head and finely detailed leaves and scrolling stem. The en tremblant mechanism is visible at the flower head, allowing subtle motion that brings the diamonds to life when worn. The front is executed in silver to enhance the brightness of the diamonds, while the reverse is gold, testing between approximately 9–18 ct depending on individual components, consistent with period construction techniques.

Set with a mixture of old European cut, old cushion cut, old mine cut, and rose-cut diamonds, the brooch displays rich variation in scintillation and character, entirely in keeping with high-quality Victorian workmanship.
