Victorian Cameo Locket Pendant Brooch depicting Cupid and Bacchus

A late 19th century antique cameo brooch-come-pendant with locket compartment, depicting Cupid and Bacchus stomping grapes. Within an ornate 18ct yellow gold frame decorated with nine natural half seed pearls. Circa 1880.

Source of Inspiration: After Thorvaldsen's relief that he made around 1810 depicting Cupid and Bacchus stomping grapes. Original relief can be seen in The Thorvaldsen Museum inventory number A413
