Victorian Antique Twin Doves Micromosaic Pendant Brooch, Circa 1860
A wonderful, mid 19th century, unique Victorian micromosaic pendant and brooch depicting at its centre two white (turtle) doves. Masterfully crafted from gilt metal and highly ornate with rope edging and bead work.
The central white doves are painstaking created using tiny pieces or tube of coloured enamel glass and are there to symbolise eternal and everlasting love.
The piece can be worn compete as pendant. The top component, also adorned with two doves, can be worn as a separate small brooch.
An incredible versatile piece with so much antique romanticism.
- Dimensions: 82mm H x 32mm W
