Victorian Antique Old Cut Diamond and Seed Pearl Bird Brooch

A mid 19th century 18ct gold and silver brooch depicting a bird standing on a branch, set with rose-cut and old-cut diamonds, accented with seed pearls and a delicate ruby eye. Circa 1860.

Diamonds (130): approx. 4.14 carat total, F/I colour with SI1 clarity
Largest three diamonds are 0.50ct, 0.25ct & 0.25ct
Ruby: approx. 0.01 carats
Seed pearls (130): 1-3mm diameter
Metals: Test as 18ct gold and 925 silver
Dimensions: 5.2 x 4.5 x 1.2 cm
Gross weight: 24.00 grams
Condition: Pre-owned, minor signs of usage and age, good and pleasant condition overall
