An unusual Victorian sentimental locket pendant in 18 ct gold. The marquise shaped body has a central oval gold panel with a classical relief of a quiver of arrows, floral branches and a torch, bordered by rose cut diamonds and surrounded by translucent pale pink enamel petals against a black enamel ground. A sculptural diamond accented gold bow surmounts the design.
The reverse contains a concealed hinged locket compartment for a photograph or keepsake, reflecting the Victorian tradition of sentimental jewellery. Accompanied by its original fitted presentation box.
