Late Art Deco Star Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring

A vintage star sapphire and diamond cluster ring, the cabochon cut sapphire which shows a star to the centre when light is being shined on, a true treasure surrounded by old cut diamonds in a rub over setting.

What causes a star sapphire: the rutile silk inclusions cause the star phenomenon.

Circa 1930's.
Sapphire: 7.82 x 6.71mm x 6.62mm, oval cabochon cut
Diamonds (12): approx. 0.60 carat total (0.05 carats each) old cuts
