Illario Diamond and Sapphire Toi et Moi Ring

A super funky 18ct bi-colour gold bypass or 'toi et moi' ring; set with two triangle shaped sapphires and two triangle shaped diamonds.

Master mark: Illario - famed for designing for Bulgari in the 1950s-1970s - Italy.

  • Diamonds: 0.30 carats and 0.40 carats, colour H, clarity SI
  • Ring size: 17mm

The Italian fine jewellery firm of Carlo Illario e F.lli was founded in 1920 by three brothers; Carlo, Vincenzo and Luigi Illario.

Established in Valenza, the brothers gained a reputation for fine craftsmanship and innovative goldsmithing techniques. Their work caught the attention of leading Italian retail jewellers such as Fasano and Faraone but most significantly Bvlgari.

Illario created many pieces for Bulgari during the 1950s, 60s and 70s including their now iconic Serpenti watch bracelets, worn by many of the world’s most glamorous women including Elizabeth Taylor.
As well as manufacturing fine jewellery for other firms, Illario also designed, made and sold jewellery under their own name. The quality of craftsmanship making them highly desirable to the discerning collector.
