Georgian Antique Table Cut Garnet and Ruby Set Gold Cross Pendant

A beautiful and rare, mid 18th century, 18ct yellow gold cross. Adorned with ten table-cut natural garnets accented with six smaller rubies in the stunning openwork design with rich back details. Circa 1740.

Garnets: measure 2 x 1.8mm to 4 x 2.8mm
Rubies: measure 1.8 x 1.9mm on average
Hallmarks: present, possibly French
Cross dimensions: 53 x 36 mm
Gross weight: 7.9 grams
Condition: Very good, commensurate to age and use
