A ravishing antique Art Nouveau sapphire and diamond 18ct gold locket, a real treasure circa 1890 - beautifully hand modelled of solid 18ct gold.

Unusual shape so distinctive of the Art Nouveau period, rendered with sinuous lines framing an upside-down heart shape with a very flat body, keeping the locket on the backside.

The top is embellished by a natural antique sapphire cushion cut of intense blue, approx .70ct - punctuated by little rose-cut diamonds, one more sapphire set at the top side and tiny rose cut diamonds on sides.

The locket panel to the reverse is in perfect order.
