A dark pink enamel butterfly brooch; set with a cultured pearl for the abdomen, a faceted ruby for the thorax, and round brilliant-cut diamonds for the eyes. In millegrain edged rub over settings. The wings and wing edges are set with round brilliant-cut diamonds. Mounted in gold.
The wings are enamelled with transparent, deep pink, enamel, utilising the basse taille technique.
