A striking necklace comprising of gilt and painted ceramic ‘peanut’ beads, a chunky signature piece named ‘Feeding the Birds’.
The idea for this necklace originated while preparing a string of peanuts for the birds in wintertime.
Pauline Wiertz was originally trained as a ceramic artist at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in the 1970s, and started making jewellery in 2000. These necklaces were influenced by ethnic jewellery from Tibet and India.
