Cartier 4ct Ceylon Sapphire and Diamond Dress Ring

A vintage, mid-19th century, Cartier sapphire and diamond ring. The striking 18ct yellow and white gold horizontal setting showcases an oval set facetted light blue Ceylon sapphire, which is surrounded by baguette-cut diamonds, and flanked by indented heart shaped elements set with old-cut diamonds. All supported within an 18ct yellow gold ribbed shank.
