Art Deco 7ct Aquamarine and Diamond Cluster Dress Ring

A stunning Santa Maria aquamarine ring; featuring a rectangular aquamarine of an intense blue colour surrounded by a row of diamonds, accented with diamond set shoulders. Mounted in platinum, with beautiful scroll-work to the gallery and engraving to the shank. The shallow cut of the aquamarine allows for a lovely low profile to the finger.

Santa Maria aquamarines are named after the Santa Maria de Itabira mine in Menas Gerais, Brazil. It was in this location where the original aquamarine gemstone possessing a unique deeply saturated blue hue was discovered. Thus, stones with such a colour are now dubbed ‘Santa Maria,’ regardless of their origin.
