Antique Victorian Natural Pearl Diamond Black Onyx Locket Pendant

A stunning, late 19th century, large carved onyx pendant, with scroll openwork top and central embellishment with central natural pearl nestled into a halo of rose-cut diamonds. Featuring a locket window to reverse, foiled with purple silk and with original glass. Mounted in 18ct yellow gold. Circa 1880.

Natural Pearl: Non-nucleated natural Seawater pearl measuring 8 x 6.6mm
Diamonds: approx. 0.45 carat total
Dimensions: 61 x 35 mm. (h. x w.) - oval decoration 16 x 14 mm. - window is 31 x 22 mm.
Tests as 18ct gold
Gross weight: 21 grams
