An endearing antique Victorian seed pearl brooch made c.1900.

The brooch is made from solid 15 carat gold and in spectacular Victorian fashion. Featuring a horseshoe intertwined with a chain link design, meticulously set with fine seed pearls, this brooch most certainly presents a unique and characterful design.

The chain link section presents a wonderful bold contrast to the fine seed pearls with quite a thick and 'chunky' chain design.

Classically elegant and distinguished from contemporary designs; this horseshoe brooch would make for a lovely piece of antique jewellery to wear with your favourite clothes. The evident equestrian interest aside, the horseshoe also symbolises luck & protection - a wonderful and charming peace to wear to subtly display your equestrian passion or, hopefully good fortune!

The reverse side of the brooch has a pin which allows it to be worn with jumpers, jackets or coats.

The brooch is marked 15 carat on the reverse side. Please note the pin itself is not gold and is base metal.
