Antique Victorian French Rock Crystal Diamond Pearl Rare Locket Chain

A very rare antique Victorian French rock crystal diamond and pearl rare locket pendant on chain, circa 1860/1880.

The large locket is of circular shape carved from polished rock crystal - nestled into gold hinged lock work with an interlaced rope knotted frame, all of solid 18ct gold.

The high domed rock crystal top has a butterfly applied enriched with fine antique gems: Ruby, Natural Pearl, Chrysolite effect against the Rock Crystal gemstone, all in fine condition and perfect order. Comes with an antique rope chain of solid 14ct gold.

The locket is 18ct solid gold with French Eagles head and Dutch import control marks. The chain is marked 14ct.
