A striking late 19th century bangle bracelet; showcasing a large oval cabochon Australian Harlequin opal surrounded by old European-cut diamonds set in silver. The body of the wide 18ct yellow gold bangle is fully covered in black enamelling, which contrasts the sparkle of the opal and diamond cluster beautifully. Circa 1870's.

• Opal: approx. 7.00 carats, measures 17.42 mm. x 15.16 mm. Play-of-colour includes red, orange, blue and green flashes of colour.
