A dainty and elegant Victorian brooch/pendant crafted in 18ct gold, dating to circa 1880. This beautifully made piece features a rhomboid-shaped design bordered by a halo of well-matched original split pearls, all securely set. At the centre lies a carved pearl panel with a subtle, silvery iridescence, adding depth and texture to the piece. Likely intended as a mourning brooch, it also includes a discreet loop to the reverse, allowing it to be worn as a small pendant if desired. A charming and versatile antique with delicate period detailing.
