A unique mid-19th century 18ct yellow gold micro mosaic necklace with pendant; depicting a peacock next to a palm tree, on a lush blue scenery, full of colour and tradition.

Handmade by artisans who still used the original techniques of working glass into delicate mosaics using tiny tesserae small enough for individual work. This ensures that every item bears that intangible quality. The pendant was made in Vatican workshops, pre-1860 Papal States.
