A striking Georgian plaque ring; featuring a central sunburst motif set with old-cut diamonds on a dark red (almost black) garnet field, with an outer border of old mine-cut diamonds in silver cut down settings. Mounted in silver upon gold with splayed trefoil gold shoulders. English. Circa 1820.
