Antique Georgian Aquamarine and Pearl Fringe Riviere Necklace

A rare and extremely pretty Georgian fringe riviere necklace with 63 foiled aquamarines and 18 blister pearls millegrain set to closed back silver mounts with a gold chain and toggle clasp.

The graduated fringe pendant drops alternate between aquamarines and pearls, and aquamarines only, suspended from either single pearls or from groups of cushion and oval-cut aquamarines.

There is some discolouration to a few of the foil backs, but this is typical of the age of the piece and does not detract from the appearance of this necklace.

The necklace measures 17 inches (43cm) in length, and weighs 48.92 grams. The longest pendant measures 1.5 inches (4cm) from the top of its mount.
