Antique Georgian amethyst set cross, a large period cross set with lovely foil backed amethysts, in a closed back rub over setting, the corners and each side with single bead decoration. The setting tests as 15 ct gold, and is very well made this has kept the stones and the foil in excellent condition, size 7.2 x 5 cm plus bezel, stones are cushion cut 9 x 7 mm to 8 x 6 mm
