Antique French Diamond and Pearl Fibula Brooch, Circa 1890

A beautifully made fibula brooch set to the hoop with rose-cut diamonds, terminating in a pair of button-shaped pearls. Mounted in 18ct yellow gold.

  • Diamonds: 54 rose-cut diamonds with a total estimated weight of 1.62 carats.
  • Pearls: 2 natural pearls, each with a diameter of 4.7mm.
  • Numbered 361
  • Stamped tamped with the eagle’s head poinçon for 18ct gold and French manufacture. Unfortunately, the maker’s mark is illegible.
  • The fibula measures 3cm in diameter (1.25 inches), and weighs 5.47g.
