Antique Edwardian Natural 5.29ct Ceylon Sapphire Diamond Pearl Drop Earrings

An elegant pair of Edwardian drop earrings. Each earring features an oval cushion-shaped natural Ceylon sapphire with no heat treatment suspended from old European cut diamond tops via a line of natural pearls. Mounted in platinum and 18ct gold. Circa 1900.

Sapphires: 5.29 carat total, measuring 8.4 x 6mm and 7.7 x 5.6mm, certified natural and untreated with Ceylon origin
Diamonds: 0.20 carat total
Natural Pearls (14): each with average 1.8mm diameter
