We are delighted to offer this stunning antique late Georgian/early Victorian citrine brooch made in the 19th century.
The brooch features a lovely four stone quatrefoil style design with a fine gold mount which truly accentuates the citrines.
Owing to its thin surface mounts, the citrines almost appear 'floating' and glistens wonderfully upon wearing and under natural sunlight. The see through design allows for the light to pass through resulting in different hues and tones of yellow/honey/gold depending on the angle and lighting.
The combination of a light and elegant design, yet with substantial gemstones makes for a wonderfully alluring piece to wear and pair with a variety of clothing, whether be it with a shirt, blouse or jacket depending on the season.
The brooch is unmarked as is common with articles of this period and as such we have tested it for gold indicating 12ct gold. Please note the pin is not gold and base metal.
