Antique Cartier Blackamoor Head Clip Brooch, French, circa 1938

Blackamoor head clip brooch by Cartier Paris, French, circa 1938. A yellow gold clip brooch in the form of Blackamoor head, the face in black enamel, the turban in white gold and with coral top piece and centrally set with a fan form set with eight rose-cut diamond points in millegrain bead settings, the ears set with gold wire hoop earrings each with a pearl bead, all atop a gold ribbed neck, the reverse with hinged double pronged clip fitting, marked ‘Cartier Paris’, ‘DEPOSE’, ‘MADE IN FRANCE’, ‘9314’.
