Antique Art Nouveau 18ct Gold Mistletoe Locket

A beautiful, large, oval 18ct yellow gold locket with gold mistletoe on the front and back ‘en relief’. The locket opens sideways and on the inside there is a mirror and a glassed compartment. The back is embellished with delicate seed pearls. Mistletoe symbolizes constancy and stands for a kiss. This piece was crafted in France during the art nouveau period, circa 1900.
